SRC4 is a computer programme used to remotely control analogue and digital broadcast satellite receivers and dish positioners. It is mainly used in Broadcast Master Control rooms and Cable Television Head-ends to simplify controlling a wide range of of receiver types by using a common graphical interface. Up to 99 receivers, 50 dish positioners and 9 `L` band matrices may be controlled.

Control is via RS232 for a single product per Com. port or via an RS485 multi-drop loop for multiple products per Com. port. Non-addressable products may be controled via the RS485 loop by using a KK Systems KD-485, addressable RS232 to RS485 converter. This means that almost all products can be controlled from a single Com. port. The exception is that a group of SA PowerVu receivers still need a single dedicated Com. port.

Receivers in remote locations may also be controled via a PSTN dial up modem. Each virtual receiver may be allocated a separate telephone number allowing the control of many receivers in a variety of remote locations.

Receivers with more than 1 `L` band input may have the selected input stored in the satellite channels `Mem` database. Therefore by selecting the appropriate input and then pressing the `Save` button the receiver will select the correct input when the satellite channel is recalled next time. Alternatively the selected input may be automatic depending of the band and polarization.

A variety of Dish Positioners are supported. Dish Positioner types include a `Fixed dish` used to ensures that the correct L.O. frequencies can be allocated to fixed dishes.

NOTE: SRC4 development has now been stopped. We will continue to sell and support this but the latest version, V4.26b, is the last.
