Pilots from around the world were racing just metres above the Thames this weekend for this years London leg of the Red Bull Air Race.  The race saw twelve pilots flying at speeds close to 250mph whilst navigating through a complex course of gates between the O2 Dome and Canary Wharf in Central London.

Broadcast RF provided a number of LINK 7GHz Wireless Camera links for the show which allowed the coverage to step away from the heavily congested 2.5GHz frequency range.  The LINK 7GHz transmitters performed seamlessly with no interference from the busy surrounding spectrum.

Broadcast RF's engineer stated -

"the spectrum was jam packed with 2.5GHz frequencies, especially in Central London and with masses of people attending the event.  The LINK 7GHz Transmitters were perfect to step out of the band and keep away from congested RF zones.

LINK's 7GHz Camera Systems have proved they are worth their weight in gold on events such as the Red Bull Air Race where frequencies are so scarce."
