7GHz Wins Again
Date: 12-08-2008
Channel Four Horse Racing and Highflyer Productions spent five days transmitting at Glorious Goodwood horseraceing meeting using a total of eleven RF microwave links and LINK 7GHz radio camera systems from Broadcast RF to improve their coverage.
This event probably has the widest range of RF equipment ranging from simple fixed point to point links, tracking vehicle cameras, aerial blimps and standard reporter radio cameras. All these RF systems were expertly engineered and supplied by Broadcast RF.

What a glorious week for some glorious horse racing in some glorious heat.
Due to the 2.5GHz spectrum being very congested, Broadcast RF used four LINK 7GHz Wireless Camera systems which were vigorously tested in some harsh RF environments on this horse racing event. The 7GHz links performed well against their 2.5GHz counterparts leading the way forward for the future use of different digital frequencies.
This is good news for Broadcast RF customers and users due to Ofcom drastically cutting back the 2.5GHz spectrum allowing no room for heavily congested events. 7GHz is now the answer!
